Born in London and brought up on cocktails. She was educated first in biological anthropology at University College London followed by experience design at the Royal College of Art in London.
Emily went on to become a design researcher at the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design in London and EPFL+ECAL Lab in Lausanne, working in the field of digital media innovation, and is a teacher in User Experience Design at the London College of Communication.
